Hitsugi no Chaika-The Coffin Princess

Hitsugi no Chaika  is a light novel Japanese written by Ichirou Sakaki and illustrated by Namaniku ATK. The series, still being written, has been adapted into three manga and two anime series produced by the studio Bones.

The first season aired in Japan between April 9 and June 25, 2014. The second season named "Hitsugi no Chaika: Avenging Battle" was started her broadcasting in Japan October 8, 2014. For the first season, the opening theme song was "Darakena" by Iori Nomizu and the ending theme song was "Kairaku Genri" (Pleasure Theory) by Coffin Princess.

It's been five years since the war ended between the Empire and the Alliance Gas Six Nations which saw the victory of the latter. Toru Acura is a mercenary said Saboteur currently unemployed who lives with his sister Akari also a Saboteur. At the corner of a forest he meets Chaika Trabant, a teenage girl with long silver hair and carrying a coffin, pursued by a powerful and ferocious creature's appearance unicorn. Toru Chaika and must then join forces and come narrowly defeat the mighty monster. Chaika decides to commit Toru and Akari in his quest to find the pieces of the body of his late father to give him a proper burial. A boon for Toru who could not stand his orderly life and penniless, far from the battlefields.
