Aya Hirano


Aya Hirano, (October 8 1987 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan ) is a Japanese voice actress (seiyu) and J-pop singer. As she stood at the company Seiyu Space Craft Group under contract with the label as a singer Lantis, in August 2011, she joined the company Grick. She has worked in various anime, graphic novels, series and television commercials in Japan. She has become known primarily for her role as Haruhi Suzumiya in the anime The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Aya spent the first years of his life in the United States before returning to Japan. In 1998, she joined the Tokyo Child Theatrical Group, a division of Space Craft Group. Since it began appearing in television commercials and landed her first role as a seiyu in the series Tenshi no Shippo. During 2002 and 2003 was part of a girl band  "Springs." After graduating from high school, began to pursue her career seriously  in seiyu and singer (soloist).

It was followed by other roles as Seiyu in anime like Kiddy Grade, Beyblade or Eyeshield 21. Her big break as a voice actress but she had in 2006 in the role of Haruhi Suzumiya in the series The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

The success of this series definitive launches his career in Japan. Her single Böken desho desho? containing the opening of the anime was sold out in Japan on the same day it came out. This success has enabled her to be chosen for two main roles: the voice of Reira in Nana and Misa Amane in Death Note. Its popularity has been confirmed for the first Seiyu Awards, where she won "Best Female Newcomer" for her role as Haruhi Suzumiya; the same role won him a nomination for "Best female main character." At the same awards, was nominated as "Best supporting character female", and earned two nominations for "Best Single" (for a boken desho desho? , the other was a group nomination for the single Hare Hare Yukai ). In 2008, he won the title of "Best female character" to the second edition of the Seiyu Awards.
