Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto

Intrigue in the Bakumatsu - Irohanihoheto  is a series of anime created by Ryosuke Takahashi and studios Sunrise. It is a mixture of elements historical , of drama , of thriller and fantasy. Historical elements emerge the state of the city of Yokohama , the theater of the time and the samurai.

It is important to note that this anime is strongly influenced by the history of Japan. This is what Japan suffered in the final years of the Edo period, when samurai forces, military and citizens of Japan and foreign countries battled for control of the country.

Yojiro Akizuki travels throughout Japan. And while he used his sword as usual, also used to help locate the supernatural elements seeking, often with bloody results. In the course of his search, comes across a traveling theater group, whose members have their own dark agenda.

The story begins after the period Bakumatsu in spring 1868 , with the Boshin War. The main character is the samurai Akizuki Yojiro happens to Yokohama in search of a supernatural object, Hasha no Kubi (the head of the Lord). The plot of the story eventually mingle with that of the independent Republic of Ezo.
