In the near future a group of Japanese engineers has managed to create a powerful exoskeleton called "
Infinite Stratos" (IS). Having the ability to fight much more advanced conventional weapons of the IS may thus destabilize the global balance.
The opening theme song for the anime is "
Straight Jet", performed by Minami Kuribayashi and the ending theme song is "
Super∞Stream", with the first episode version sung by Yoko Hikasa.
Faced with a weapon so powerful nations decide to sign the "Treaty Alaska," an agreement in which they undertake not to use the IS as military means and that the existing technology is equitably distributed among all the world were so no one can rule over others.
