Hayate Ayasaki a young student of 16 years has to work to live and spend their parents thinking fulfill their dreams and ignore the rest especially his son, Christmas Eve so they take the money he had earned Hayate in their work and leave him a gift and exorbitant debt they had borrowed some mobsters leaving his son as a pledge.
The opening theme to the anime adaptation, "Hayate no Gotoku!" by Kotoko, was released on May 23, 2007. And the second opening theme, "Shichiten Hakki Shijoushugi!" by Kotoko, was released on October 17, 2007. The first ending theme is "Proof" by Mell. The second ending theme, "Get my way!", is performed by Mami Kawada. The third ending theme, "Chasse", is performed by Kaori Utatsuki. The fourth ending theme, "Ko no me kaze", is performed by Iku.
