Setsuma Mute is the reincarnation of a fallen angel named Alexiel, who was punished by God separating his soul from his body; his body was turned into glass and soul condemned to die as a human repeatedly. Today heaven and hell in difficult situations, this is where Alexiel must fight for the soul of his sister Sara (who is also in love) and to explain that he is an angel so they can live together as humans.
A Setsuna Mudo is revealed to be the reincarnation of a beautiful angel female, Alexiel, who have rebelled against God was forced to perpetual metempsychosis.
Each of his reincarnation follows the line of a tragic fate: an impossible love and sudden death. There are two demons, who wanted to bring back to life Alexiel, Setsuna to reveal to his fate. While unleashes its fury, Setsuna feels in his mind the words of Adam Kadamon, an angel with six wings and all-powerful "father" of Alexiel and Rosiel, which stops him from destroying the earth (called Assiah). Kadamon makes a pact with Setsuna: reveals the way to go to ' hell , nell'Hades to take the sinful soul of Sara (love the sinner because his brother and therefore guilty of incest) and stops the time on the ground so they do not no irreparable harm done to the planet.
During the trip Setsuna we learn the back story of many characters.
In the final battle, thanks to the sacrifice of Rosiel, Setsuna fails, along with Lucifer, to kill Adam Kadamon. Now Setsuna can revive Sara and return with her to the human world, to finally live a happy life.
Eventually, the author of the manga tells us that angels, demons and humans are not that different from each other and each has its weaknesses. The assumption is that each breed tends to perfection and more things to hide and deny.
