Argento Soma is based on the classic novel of horror Frankenstein. It was the second anime produced by Bandai, known for typical novels inspired to develop or create the arguments of several of its productions. The Opening Theme is "Silent Wind" by Eri Sugai and the Ending Theme is "Horizon" by Sphere.
The story begins in 2054, when aliens invade large land. After this, initial invasion was rejected presumes, appear with some regularity aliens from space that target without exception to a place of northwestern United States called "point Pilgrimage."
The protagonist of the story is named Takuto Kaneshiro, a young student working on a science project related to metallurgy. His girlfriend, Agata Maki Noguchi studied with Professor in the Department of Biomechanics. This is very interested in having Takuto, and thanks to some skillful maneuvering to frame with the help of Maki gets to take up the center of his project, called MORGE. In this place, Professor Noguchi is rebuilding an alien, from the other residues. Joining different parts of aliens, is to reconstruct a whole one with which to experiment. Unfortunately, during the process of "recovery" break, the military to take over the project, and causing such chaos that the monster awakens and flees, killing in his flight to destroy the facilities and Professor Maki Noguchi. Takuto meanwhile very seriously injured.
